Dr John Young

Dr John Young completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University College Cork, Ireland in 1989. He spent his initial years working in NHS practice in the UK before moving back to Ireland to work in the South Eastern Healthboard.

John migrated to Australia in 1995, firstly to Western Australia where he spent time at the Perth Dental Hospital Emergency Department.

John moved to Sydney in 1997 and is principal dentist at the Forestville practice since 2003.

John is actively involved in continuing education and is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He is well regarded in all aspects of dentistry, from general checkups to full mouth rehabilitations. He has contributed to local community fundraisers including Killarney Heights High School, Aspect Vern Barnett School, Balgowlah Heights Primary School and Fight on the Beaches.  He has raised four children, is an avid rugby supporter and is always keen for a friendly chat.

Dr Sonia Lee

Sonia completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Sydney University in 2003 with First Class Honours.  Upon graduation she gained experience in a busy practice on the Central Coast before joining Forestville Dental in 2005.

Sonia attends courses on a regular basis to update her dental knowledge. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and Manly Warringah Dental Study Group. She is an accredited Invisalign provider and has contributed as a preclinical tutor for students at Sydney University. Sonia has volunteered at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Red Cross dental clinics.

She prides herself on her meticulous and gentle care of all patients. In her spare time she can be found at the crossfit gym in the wee hours of the morning and enjoys taking care of her two young children on the Northern Beaches.

Dr Yvonne Poon

Dr. Yvonne Poon completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of London in 1990.  Since then she attained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland.  She moved to Australia in the 90’s and completed her Masters in Dental Science (Orthodontics) at the University of Sydney in 1999.

Dr. Poon has previously held the position of lecturer at the Orthodontic Department, University of Sydney, involved in the teaching of postgraduate students.  She is also an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists.

Since the opening of the Gladesville practice in 2005, Dr. Poon has been busy looking after the orthodontic needs of her patients in the areas of Gladesville, Hunters Hill and Ryde Districts as well as the Forestville region. Please visit her website at:  www.gladesvilleorthodontics.com.au
